Labrador Coastal Drive(Route 510) has now been extended to Goose Bay in Central Labrador. Travellers can now travel year round(weather permitting) through Labrador. Labrador Marine operates a ferry service across the Strait of Belle Isle from Blnac Sablon to St. Barbe between May and January and from Blanc Sablon to Corner Brook between February and April.For more information visit, http://www.labradormarine.com

To ensure your safety while driving through Labrador, satellite phones are avialable to borrow on the drive. Residents of the province will need to show their driver's license, and non-residents will need a valid credit card to borrow a phone.

Satellite phones can now be picked up and dropped off at the following locations:

• Wabush Hotel in Wabush;
• Midway Travel Inn in Churchill Falls;
• Hotel North Two and Royal Inn and Suites in Happy Valley-Goose Bay;
• Cartwright Hotel in Cartwright;
• Alexis Hotel in Port Hope Simpson; and,
• Town Office in Charlottetown.
