July 1- Canada Day Celebrations

July 1 - Canada Day Bonfire, L'Anse Au Clair
Along with Canada Day activities at the Community Centre and a parade to the War Memorial, a Canada Day tradition in L'Anse Au Clair is a bonfire on the beach with music and fireworks.

August 3-7- Mary's Harbour Crab Festival, Mary's Harbour
The Crab Festival is the annual celebration of the crab fishery. There are lots of fun and prizes to be won for people of all ages. Entertainment provided throughout the course of the weekend. Canteen services are provided with beverages and BBQs. Dances for both young and old. Crowning of the crab king and queen.

August 6-9 Bakeapple Folk Festival, Forteau
TV Bingo with music with John and Taylor Groves, Drive in Movie, Outdoor events which include a bike rodeo, scavenger hunt, fish fry, and a bonfire and fireworks to end off the day. There will also be a virtual Folk Festival Concert.

August 23 - International Lighthouse Day, Point Amour Lighthouse Provincial Historic Site
VE9CB Will be participating in the 2020 Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend hand radio contest. Using V02MPR as a marine call sign for the first time in over 60 years.
